When planning a marketing strategy for you business it is important to consider the growing online market. The internet is so commonplace now that it is only natural to market your company on it. Online marketing is now a necessity to grow and thrive as a business. One such form of online marketing is affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is a system where an affiliate is rewarded for every customer/visitor they bring to the buyer of seller. So an example of this would be a potential customer browsing another website and seeing and clicking a link that would bring them to your business’s website. As a result you more potential customers and the website that is linking the customers to you gets a payment by you in return.
The three most common forms of affiliate marketing are cost per action, contextual advertising, and revenue sharing. Cost per action is a system where the affiliates are paid depending on the specific actions of the customer. For example, a company may pay the affiliates for customers that buy something from their site.
Contextual advertising is a system where the ads seen by consumers on an affiliate’s website are chosen by an automated system to cater towards the consumer. This way the ads are more relevant to what the consumer is looking for and as a result has a higher chance of being clicked. The final system is revenue sharing which is the sharing of a certain amount of profits with your affiliate company.
The general advantage of affiliate marketing is that it is very low risk. Because it is a pay for performance system, you will not be stuck paying for advertising that has not done anything. You will only pay an affiliate if you are receiving traffic from their website. So it is safe to have several affiliates at once because you are still only paying for the amount of customers they bring in. the websites that bring in little to no traffic will in turn receive little to no pay from you.
The potential downside of affiliate marketing is that your company may be mistaken as a spam website. Because of companies that have abused online advertising through email spamming, pop-ups, and ad-ware company links on sights carry a bit of a negative connotation. Also there have been issues with scaling when it comes to affiliate advertising.
These are small issues considering the amount of good affiliate marketing can bring a company. It is a smart and effective way to get your companies name out into the world.

E-books as Your Best Asset
Thinking of starting a business online? Not sure what type of product to sell or to promote? Well, I was just reading an amazing E-book that shared some very simple concepts that anyone can implement, and they start with having one thing, an E-book.
Information is constantly being distributed and passed around for free on the internet. One can read free internet articles on how to trade stocks, or how to improve your golf swing, but those articles don’t always give you a step by step guide to learn all the tricks. People are now relying on information that will help guide them in doing a highly specialized trade, like trading stocks, repairing vintage automobiles, or losing weight. There are many paper books available that will teach people how to do these things, but much of the time, people are going to the internet to find solutions and find current information on specialized trades.
Let’s look at some reasons why an E-book can be a great asset:
1. An E-book is digital, and can be kept online at a website, not at a warehouse.
2. It can only be downloaded from a website 24/7 and as it is totally secure, it cannot be passed around the internet as a free un-secure article.
3. One has to buy an E-book to read it. It can only be read after it is paid for.
4. Once an E-book is created an E-book, it is forever available.
5. After writing the E-book, the work is done, and it can constantly make money for you. Of course, the more it is kept updated, and the more E-books one has, the more profit potential there is.
6. When an E-book is sold, the customer does not have to wait for it. It’s delivered to them instantly, and they can conveniently store it on their computer or laptop, so it is available to them more easily.
7. Paper Books take about a year to get published and cost a lot of money in printing, postage and handling. E-books have no publishing cost, and can be delivered through the internet saving time and money on postage and handling.
8. There are very simple and sophisticated internet marketing tools to drive traffic to ones website for people to buy the E-books.
9. E-books can always be revised and kept updated as fast as one can create new content. This makes E-books more current than a normal paperback.
10. An E-book can be bought forever. This gives it an unlimited profit potential.
So, think about spending some extra time and compile a 30-100 page E-book, that is high quality, and gives the customer great value. The time spent doing this can create a steady income stream forever. When we start thinking about moving our mindset from trading our time for money, to having our assets work for us, we start to shift from having to always work for our money, to letting our E-books work for us.

Customer Service Done Right
Are you a stickler about receiving top notch customer service? Do you routinely "come through" as a provider of exemplary services to your customers? Chances are you have been greatly disappointed at one time or another regarding the service you received from a salesperson, an internet hosting company, a hair colorist, or any one of thousands of different service providers. Frankly, customer service in many areas -- retail, for one -- isn't what it used to be. However, where there is poor customer service there is also a great opportunity. Read on and I will explain.
Let's say you are in a field that routinely provides so-so service to customers. It could be that customer expectations are low and no one expects top notch service. Maybe most customers are simply "price sensitive" and could care less about how fast or how well you deliver. However, you can bet that there are a percentage of customers out there who appreciate service that goes above and beyond the industry standard. These same customers typically will pay a little extra for service that really serves them. If you can tap into this customer base, you can create a niche, raise your prices, and make more money in the long run.
Depending on your industry, you could command a price premium of 10-25% over the average provider. That may not sound like a lot, but it could spell the difference between eating hamburger or eating steak. I don't know about you, but I would prefer eating steak!
Naturally, providing a high level of customer service means you will have to break a sweat. You may have to happily redo [its all in the attitude, baby!] or improve on an existing project in order to satisfy a good paying customer. This is what sets you apart from the pack.
If you are satisfied with the "status quo" then that's okay too. Just don't expect to have customers beat down your doors for work. At least the better customers will not!

Doorway page generator and Internet cloaking
Doorway Page
Doorway page generator and Internet cloaking scripts when used judiciously can improve the search engine ranking of any web-page or website. The search engine optimisation doorway pages are keyword rich smart pages or hook pages, that links and/or redirects to the content page. The content page meant for the user is cloaked from the search engine, (hence the term Search Engine Cloaking). Keyword rich hook pages or bridge pages appear in the search results page. When followed the link from the search result, the user is automatically redirected to the intended page. Or in simple words, search engines don’t see what the users see and vice-versa.
IP cloaking is possible if the Webmaster know the IP address of search engines. Only the doorway pages or search engine optimisation doorway pages are caught by the search engine spider while crawling the website. The door page script or doorway generator script are usually too short to be caught by search engines. The cloaking software identifies the IP addresses of search engines, and when a search comes from the search engine IP, the real page is hid and the keyword filled doorway is displayed. This is called IP cloaking. Website cloaking and page cloaking needs to be done with care and the users shall be led relevant pages only.
The doorway page generator also helps you protect your search engine optimisation techniques from being copied by your competitors. Making a page visible to search engine requires a special quality. Learn about the search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques that can help you improve the search engine rankings of your web-pages.

Characteristics Of A Successful Entrepreneur
Studies have shown that successful entrepreneurs possess these characteristics:
1. Self-confidence
This is that magical power of having confidence in oneself and in one's powers and abilities.
2. Achievement Oriented
Results are gained by focused and sustained effort. They concentrate on achieving a specific goal, not just accomplishing a string of unrelated tasks.
3. Risk Taker
They realize that there is a chance of loss inherent in achieving their goals, yet they have the confidence necessary to take calculated risks to achieve their goals.
Entrepreneurs are people who will make decisions, take action, and think that they can control their own destinies. They are often motivated by a spirit of independence which leads them to believe that their success depends on raw effort and hard work, not luck.
So which of these three main characteristics is the most important? Believe it or not, it has to be self-confidence. Without self-confidence, nothing else is possible. If you don't believe in your abilities, then the first challenge that arises may knock you off the path to achieving your goals. Here are a few things to keep in mind for maintaining a higher level of self-confidence.
Positive Thinking
Well, it all starts with a positive attitude, doesn't it? Believing that something good will happen is the first step. Negative thinking simply is not allowed. You must truly believe that there are no circumstances strong enough to deter you from reaching your goals. Remember too, that positive thinking can be contagious. When positive thinking spreads, it can open doors to new ideas, customers, friends, etc.
Persistent Action
Now all of the positive thinking and believing in the world is useless if it is not applied towards a goal. You have to take action, no excuses are allowed. This action must also be persistent. Trying once and then giving up is not going to be enough. Keep at it one step at a time. If you can't get by a certain step, then find a creative way to try again or just go around it.
At the beginning of this article we identified a few traits that are common among successful entrepreneurs. You should be able to look ahead and see yourself where you want to be. Now just maintain a strong belief in yourself and your skills, stick with it, and don't give up. If you can do that, you're already half way there!

Probe Before You Sell
When selling a product to a customer, it is very important to find out as much as you can about your customer and their needs before you proceed with your sale.
This is commonly referred to as “needs based selling.”
The most effective way to find out about your customers needs, is to ask probing, open-ended questions.
An open-ended question does not allow your customer to give you a “yes” or “no” answer, it makes them explain to you what their needs are, and why they would need a particular product.
Here is an example, if you were a sales associate at a furniture store, and a customer walked in looking for a dining room set, an open-ended question you might ask would be:
“Tell me about the particular type of pattern you are looking for,” or simply put, “tell me more about what you are looking for”
This puts your customer in a situation where they cannot say “yes” or “no,” they must go into detail.
On a personal note . . .
Not to long ago, my wife and I were in a department store looking for a coat for me.
I spotted one that I like hanging on a discount rack. It was brown, with a removable liner, and a zipper that ran the length of the collar, to protect your neck.
I liked it so much, I took it from the rack and tried it on.
As I stood admiring myself in the mirror, a sales associate came over and complimented me on my appearance in this jacket.
I smiled politely and thanked her. She than proceeded to tell me that the best part about the jacket was that it smelled like real leather.
Taking her word for it, I put my nose to the sleeve, took a whiff, and sure enough, it smelled like real leather.
The only problem was . . .
I don’t like the smell of leather.
Needless to say, I put the coat back on the rack, and the friendly sales person lost the sale and the commission.
The mistake the sales person made was assuming that I liked the smell of leather. It was a safe assumption on the part of the sales person, because most people like the smell of leather. This doesn’t mean it should be taken for granted.
The point I am trying to make, is that it is essential that you ask probing and open-ended questions, find out as much as you possibly can about your customer before you present them with a product. You’ll end up with a lot more sales. Believe me!

Every Entrepreneur's Worst Nightmare
Gone: Customers, sales, profits. Following is a simple little tale about how it happens.
"Jones was a typical entrepreneur who worked long hours and wore many hats.
"The problem was that all the hats screamed for attention. Jones solved the problem by wearing the hat that screamed the loudest.
"Unfortunately, this was only a temporary solution since all the hats kept screaming until they were worn.
"There was, however, one hat that never screamed. It never complained, whined or whimpered, even though it was lonely. It knew it was important, whether or not it was worn. That hat was right.
"One day the customers quit coming. The other hats became quiet; they no longer were needed. It was then that Jones noticed the hat named Marketing and how little it had been worn.
"'Why didn't I wear the Marketing hat?' thought Jones.
"For one thing, Marketing hadn't screamed for attention like the other hats. The other reason was that Jones was afraid the Marketing hat was too expensive to wear and would drain profits.
"But now there were no profits; the customers were gone.
"Jones put on the Marketing hat. It was time to get the old customers back, and to get new customers, too. It was time to wear the Marketing hat regularly.
"Even the other hats perked up."

Network Marketing Home Business
Many people that think operating a business from home is glamorous, exciting, and filled with freedoms that you can never experience if you work for someone else. Without the obligations that come from reporting to an employer everyday and they then think the money is easily acquired. This article will look at both the positives and negatives of owning a home-based business.
An important part of working from home is letting others know you have a business and this is done through networking. Network marketing is not always easy for everyone. There are individuals who are very natural at talking with others and find it quite easy to be in a room full of strangers and talk about what they have to offer. Then there are those terrified of the idea of network marketing and would prefer to stay home and pay someone else to do this portion of the business for them. Network marketing does not have to be a horrible experience for you and you do not have to have a panic attack at the thought of attending one. When you prepare for network marketing and do not go in with your eyes closed, you will find that it will make an enormous difference in the productivity of your business. Network marketing can be beneficial in building a plethora of resources and contacts that you can have at your fingertips to propel your business forward.
Decide in advance how many people you want to talk to and do just that. If it is your first time, you may only want to talk to three people. Although once you are there, you will probably find yourself relaxing and notice that you came home with more than three contacts. Do not forget the business cards of the people you meet. In the excitement, you may forget their names. It is a good idea to jot down some relevant information on the back of the card to help you remember why or why not you like that particular contact.
In order for your home business to be successful, you have to make your presence known. You can do this through advertising and word-of-mouth. However, staying inside your protective home and never letting anyone know whom you are will not generate many clients or bring an increase in your profits. Go out, have coffee, and talk to others about your services. Walk into businesses that you think will profit from your services and let them know what you have to offer. If you have children in school, you can offer your services to the PTA or other groups that your child may be involved. Do not discount your sphere of influences because it is from this circle that your business will grow.

Answers To Your E-commerce Problems
First of all, what is e-commerce? E-commerce is commerce, including business, trade, buying, and selling, that is transacted electronically, rather than hand-to-hand. Businesses need efficient technology and strong marketing in order for e-commerce to be successful. The goal is to increase your business by making it easier for customers to shop, and if your website’s lack of technology and marketing make it difficult for them, they may as well drive to the mall.
Before we look at e-commerce solutions, we need to first figure out some of the problems with e-commerce. There are many complaints from customers when it comes to purchasing items online. A few include a disorganized site that is difficult and confusing to navigate; lack of information on the website including failure to tell customers about special deals or prices; the inability to pay with the customer’s native currency or the inability for the customer to even understand the language in which the website is written; and frustrating and confusing shopping carts and check out procedures.
Well then, what are some e-commerce solutions? Having a professional looking website will attract customers and make them feel confident in buying from you. You want your website to be organized and easy to navigate, and if you have an informational website that is search engine friendly; shows promotional deals; encourages up selling in a friendly way (such as showing related items or showing items that customers purchased who also purchased the item you are purchasing); is accessible in most languages and accepts different types of currency; has a user friendly shopping cart and single page checkout, then you won’t need many e-commerce solutions!
Remember, when your business is e-commerce, you want to take all possible steps to make sure you and your product are presented professionally, friendly, and easily accessible.
